Using a katakuchi (sake server) and a guinomi (sake cup) makes the experience of drinking sake so much richer. In Japan we share sake by pouring for each other from a katakuchi. For us this is a form of communication. Enjoying sake little by little from a small cup makes for a very relaxing evening. It is also useful for as a water cooler for tea or to serve sauces and dressings.
White is an orthodox clean color that suits all kinds of food and interior aesthetics. White is pure and simple and yet no white is the same. There are creamy whites, cool whites, grayish and pinkish whites. I like the softness and subtlety of whites.
When white ware is immersed in water crazing may appear. A craze is a crack on the surface of the glaze. It is a natural characteristic of the glaze and does not mean that the vessel itself is broken.
