Good meals shouldn’t be rushed and good food tastes better when it’s savored. The chopstick rest is a resting place for your chopsticks in those moments of pause and conversation with friends and family. It’s a small piece that plays an important role in a leisurely evening. This chopstick rest was made on the wheel and chopsticks easily settle in the groove.

This calm shade is soft and classical and compliments any food palette.

Some pieces contain a crackle pattern in the glaze, called crazing. Crazing and the occasional pinhole (small hole in the glaze) are characteristics of green celadon. The same can be seen in old Chinese celadon pottery, and some even try to accentuate the crackle pattern. It is a result of kiln temperature fluctuation and is a naturally occurring phenomenon, a matter of luck as I see it. Glaze crazing does not affect the structural integrity of the vessel. Industrial manufacturing tends to define such occurrences as "defective,” but I hope that you will consider it a positive aspect of handmade work that contributes to the uniqueness of each piece.
