The bottom of this bowl is narrowed and the shape is flared out, so it looks beautiful when food is served in a cone-shaped mound.
A black coating is applied to white clay and randomly scraped off to create a scored pattern. The texture of the chamfering can be faintly felt in the palm of the hand.
