A mukozuke (a dish particular to tea ceremony kaiseki) for serving sashimi and side dishes.
Before firing, white slip is applied underneath a coat of ash glaze. The slip seepsinto the red clay producing a random crackle pattern that doesn’t compromise the glaze integrity. Please enjoy the natural appearance of each spontaneous line.
Hanako makes each piece by hand, one by one. Slight variations in size, shape, color, and surface are inherent to the process. We hope you will embrace these small differences as characteristics that give each piece individuality and character, making them all the more lovable.
